PathChat 2 is our latest multimodal generative AI model that can reason over both pathology
images and text as a helpful copilot for research and education use.
Model capabilities
PathChat aims to bring the power of generative AI closer to the hands of pathologists,
trainees and researchers. It can accept multiple high-resolution images interleaved with text in a given
conversation to allow for a more comprehensive assessment of each consult case, directly through an interactive
slide viewer. Compared to our previous version, it has substantially improved performance in differential
diagnosis, morphological description and is more capable at instruction following and performing diverse tasks
such as open-ended question answering and report summarization.
