Long Phi Le

Long Phi Le, MD, PhD, is a molecular and computational pathologist, the Vice Chair for Pathology Informatics at Massachusetts General Hospital, Assistant Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School, and the Associate Clinical Director of Pathology Systems at Mass General Brigham. Long's previous leadership roles include directorships at the MGH Center for Integrated Diagnostics and the Clinical Research Sequencing Platform at the Broad Institute. He leads an informatics team within MGB Pathology that develops the necessary infrastructure and applications to support pathology operations across clinical, research, and educational domains. With expertise spanning clinical pathology, genomics, bioinformatics, digital pathology, laboratory operations, and pathology education, Long is passionate about integrating clinical and laboratory data to advance predictive and generative AI solutions in pathology to enhance healthcare delivery. He was a co-founder of ArcherDX (acquired by Invitae), where he led the development and clinical implementation of next-generation sequencing-based diagnostic assays. Long received his BS in Chemical Engineering and Biology from MIT, his MD and PhD in Molecular Cellular Pathology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed residency training in Clinical Pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
